I don’t like to get involved with the unnecessary bitchy behaviour found on the web, or in the tangle that is Hollywood.¬† However, I have asked myself why was not returning for the Mummy sequel due out in August 2008. In the Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Rachel Weisz’s role is now being played by Maria Bello (who?). According to (director of the ) Weisz did not return for her role as Evelyn (or Evey) because the character now had an adult son. This news comes from gossip central magazine (also known as HEAT Magazine). Surely Weisz is not this petty? If this is true Ms. Weisz, then I am truly dissapointed. is only 3 years older than you and yet he is happy to return. Let’s not fool ourselves into thinking this is an actual newsworthy story though, other than an attempt to get the free plug of the upcoming Mummy film into high street magazines. Perhaps Cohen would like us to repeat the title once more, so it is clear to everyone what film he is directing: The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
