Transformers 3 released in 2011 or 2012?

Well it seems that Paramount and Dreamworks’ eagerness to set a release date (July 2011) for another Transformers film has left Michael Bay a little confused.
According to his official site he claims that he had hoped for a year off from the Transformers franchise and yet no statement has come out (from the studios) to confirm this change of date. He had hoped that Transformers 3 would be released in July of 2012, giving him some much needed rest!
Does this mean Michael Bay might get to miss out playing with big robots for a third time? I doubt it!

Of course he wants to take some time off. I’m not sure if putting out another transformers that fast is such a great idea. Not enough time for building up the hype and people tend to appreciate the movies more when they have to wait. Look at the new batman movies for example. They aren’t in any rush.
