Review of an online Short: Security (by Lars Henning)

This is an unusual one, but I felt I must review every film worth mentioning. The german made (and subtitled) film "Security", written and directed by and starring Peter Kurth and is a hidden gem. This diamond in the rough though is only 13 minutes long and you are able to view it via vuze (a link and preview is below).

Set in a department store the is that of the security guard "Becker". Without giving this short tale away, this film is a lesson to all those wannabe directors and actors out there (in Hollywoodland). It shows that something can be quite beautiful when so eloquently understated. and loneliness (in a capable actor's hands) can strike you better than any movie with a hundred million dollar budget. The track used also compliments an emptiness to the piece. Watch this film and enjoy. Highly Recommended. Let's be honest if you don't like the film, you can always moan at me for wasting 13 minutes of your life. I am looking forward to other Lars Henning films. 4 out of 10.
