Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio in possibly the worst trailer ever

Take a look at the Revolutionary Road and you will notice a few things.

  1. It reunites the stars: and
  2. It is seemingly about how life can change your dreams (for the worse)
  3. It is painfully bad to watch.

If I wanted to see two who have not managed to achieve their life's ambitions and have gotten stuck into a dead-end dull job with no great prospects then I could simply watch my parents. Come to think of it, I could watch 90% of the . Now I know some purests are yelling at me right now with an argument that it is that counts. However it cinematic history has shown that doesn't get people into the cinema. Big Austrian actors with catchphrases gets people into the cinema. Not Ms Winslet and Mr DiCaprio harking on about how hard their life is. In truth it might have been a bit better if Sam Mendes had cast two people who had actually gone to work for a living instead of Ms "look how soft my skin is" Winslet and ageless DiCaprio. Nevertheless I realise that my thoughts are only one opinion. What do you think? Does the thought of the very attractive Ms Winslet and the very smooth Mr DiCaprio get you excited (in a cinematic way)?
