High School Musical 3: Senior year gets a sing-a-long version

Submitted by Richard Mann on November 7, 2008 – 11:12 am7 Comments

Not only did I have to suffer High School Musical 3, it seems that I am destined to watch the whole movie again whilst singing along. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed singing along to Mamma Mia this year. It was an experience to say the least and as one of the few single men attending the show, it was a “sociable” event.

However I suffered High School Musical 3: Senior Year for one reason only. No, it was not for the single mums. It was in fact for my daughter. Yes I sat there watching Troy, Sharpay, Gabriella, Taylor, and the gay-one for my daughter. No other person on this earth could have forced me to watch it… I sat there trying to remain patient amongst children screaming and getting so excited they were repeatedly kicked the back of my chair.

Well let’s hope that she doesn’t get wind of Disney’s plan to release a sing-a-long version of HSM-3. I am already sick of the music and somehow experiencing it all again with the kids is something that will not appeal. Somehow though (financially speaking) it sounds like a good idea. High School Musical is a money spinner and this is a way to keep it spinning for a long time to come..

The Sing-a-long version will be released in 125 theaters across the U.S on the 4th November 2008 with no official plans for the U.K (or other countries) as yet…WoooHOO!
